The Book of Foundational Mathematics
The Book of Foundational Mathematics offers a curriculum to prepare high school students for a college STEM degree by offering them a head start to understanding topics that underpin every branch of math they will encounter during their studies.
It is also good for adult learners who are looking to brush up on fundamental concepts they can apply to their careers as engineers, scientists, computer scientists, and game developers.
The current goal of the book is to offer a foundation of math knowledge the learner can apply when studying more advanced math including calculus, probability, statistics, combinatorics, algorithm analysis, etc.
Currently, the curriculum includes the following subjects:
- Mathematical Logic and Arguments
- Set Theory
- An abstract/general look at functions
- A revisit of real-valued functions and trigonometry
- 3D functions
- Basic counting techniques
- Complex Numbers
- Additional material foundational for the STEM curriculum
